You already pay for Copilot. Is anyone using it?
Check your Microsoft bill, then check your team. Most firms that added Copilot are paying roughly £23 per person per month for a button most people have clicked twice.
That is not a tooling problem. Microsoft shipped the feature. Nobody shipped the habit.
Why Copilot training is different from AI training
Copilot is not one tool, it is a different tool in every app. In Outlook it drafts and summarises threads. In Excel it explains formulas and finds patterns. In Teams it takes the minutes. In Word it writes the first draft. Generic AI training teaches none of this, because none of it transfers from a ChatGPT demo.
So we train it where it lives: inside your tenant, on your documents, app by app, role by role.
What a session looks like
Before the day, we ask each attendee for their three most repeated tasks. On the day, they do those tasks with Copilot, in their own files. Finance people work in Excel and Outlook. Managers work in Teams and Word. Everyone leaves with their tasks working and a one-page crib sheet per app.
We also cover the two things Microsoft's own material is quiet about: what Copilot gets wrong and how to check it, and what your firm's rules are for sensitive content, because Copilot can see whatever the user can see. If your permissions are a mess, Copilot will cheerfully surface it. We will tell you if that is your real problem.
The honest maths
One hour saved per person per week pays for the licence several times over. Below that, cancel the licences and keep the money; we will say so if that is what the training day reveals. Either outcome beats paying for shelfware.
